Scheduled Hollister Service Outage

The fiber cross-connect that connects our Hollister POP (Point of Presence) to our San Martin NOC (Network Operations center) will be impacted by maintenance occuring out of the fiber providers central office on 12/10 sometime between 1am and 4am.  The maximum expected downtime is 90 minutes.

Sprint has re-established their connection with Cogent as of 10/2, so we have restored our previous configuration.  Sprint has stated that this is potentially a temporary solution.   The two companies have not resolved their differences, but service was restored for the good of service for the internet as a whole.  We will be closely monitoring [...]

Cogent / Sprint Routing issue

Our primary upstream provider, Cogent, is currently having issues with Sprint.  Sprint has shut-off the link to Cogent, effectively partitioning them from the rest of the internet.  Cogent customers cannot access anything on Sprint’s network and vice-versa.  We are currently examining all possible options, including moving all traffic to one of our secondary upstream providers.  [...]

Email and dial-up service restored

We had a system-wide email and dial-up issue that started about 9:30pm last night.  The problem was intermitted until about 2:30am, when both systems went down entirely.
We identified a software issue, corrected it, and both services were fully restored at around 12:30pm.

Verizon DSL Service Restored

Verizon has corrected the problem in the Gilroy CO. The problem originated from an AT&T T3 line outage. AT&T reprovisioned the circuit, restoring service.

Verizon DSL in Gilroy Down

There has been an outage in the Gilroy area that is effecting all Verizon DSL customers. Verizon technicians have been dispatched and are currently working on the issue. All other systems are up and fully operational.

Hollister Cross Connect Restored

The San Martin to Hollister Cross Connect has now been restored. Reason as to why it was down is currently unknown. We are working with Charter to determine the issue.

Hollister Cross Connect Down

We are experiencing an issue with our primary cross connect between San Martin and Hollister. Some customers may experience high latency or slower than normal speeds. We expect to have an update from Charter shortly. All other systems are up and fully operational.
